SHOCKING: Harry Potter Books Removed From School Library in Nashville, Reason Being It Apparently Has Real Spells
Many aspire to go to Hogwarts through Kings Cross Station but students of Nashville would be deprived of this thought as Harry Potter books are no longer in their library.
Hogwarts is magical. Harry Potter has entertained his fans for years and kids desperately wait for their invitation to Hogwarts. But for the students of a school in Nashville, this magical world would stay abstract. The authorities have removed Harry Potter books from the library stating that it contains some real spells.
As per a report in The Independent, authorities at the St Edward Catholic School fear the curses and spells featured in Harry Potter books are real and dangerous. The Reverend Dan Reehill shot an email to the parents of the students and explained his stance. A part of his email read, “These books present magic as both good and evil, which is not true, but in fact a clever deception. The curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits into the presence of the person reading the text.”
Further, Rebecca Hammel, the superintendent of schools for the Catholic Diocese of Nashville supported the Reverend’s move and said, “Each pastor has canonical authority to make such decisions for his parish school. He’s well within his authority to act in that manner.”
JK Rowling’s seven-book series on Harry Potter has fans in millions. While the films made on these books remain to a hit among the masses, the majority of the fans take to books to experience the world of Hogwarts. Though not in the library, kids have access to it through various other mediums.
